Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Philippians 4:6-7

Meaning is found in community, not individualism; joy is found in generosity, not materialism; and truth is found in Christ, not universalism.

Awesome book.

Almost (saved) // Ezekiel Azonwu

A young girl sat in front of the mirror, staring at herself. Noticing her own imperfections, she cried as she wondered why she couldn’t look like the model on the cover of the magazine on her dresser.

In many ways, we can relate with this girl. “Only if I were prettier… Only if I were smarter… Only if I had more money…” No matter what the case, we are always unsatisfied with what God has given us. We always want more.

However, the truth is God doesn’t even see these petty nuances. It is us who create our own images of perfection, and are consequently miserable because we cannot attain them.

Like the blue whale that is oblivious to any difference between one krill and another, God doesn’t care about what you look like, how smart you are, or how much money you have. He only cares about the “nutritional” value your soul can provide. With this in mind, stop torturing yourself. Substantiate your life with what’s really important in life.

Some people feel the anointing. But what if you don’t feel it? Don’t make a principle out of it. If you only have faith that somebody will get healed when you can feel the anointing, then you have turned principle into law. So pray anyway, whether or not you can feel the anointing — and let God move as He will.

The inexplicable beauty of God’s forever love is that, as the Relentless Lover, He never stops pursuing us because He always wants us back.

He created us to be in close relationship with Him and will stop at nothing to restore that intimate relationship. Today, right now, is the time for you to make a radical change in your heart and life.

Set your affection, your focus, and all your hopes on Christ. Trust Him. He bought you at a great price. He has dreams for you. Don’t run from Him; run to Him. Knit your heart with His. Become a God Lover.

Condemnation attaches your sin to your identity.
“You lied? You are a Liar.
You stole? You’re a Thief.
You cheated. You are a Cheater.

That’s who you are”

…it wants to attach a name to you from your offenses. Because he knows if he can rename you by your sin, he can change how you see yourself, and get you to repeat that sin. When you get back to who you are - God’s unchangeable son, you go home, to your Father’s house.
